Surrounded by picturesque mountains, Assarel-Remont Ltd. is located 90 km to the east of Sofia and approximately at 70 km north of Plovdiv, near the village of Panagyurski Kolonii.

Assarel-Remont Ltd. specializes in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment for the mining and ore processing industries.

Operations started more than 40 years ago, when parallel with the opening of the mining complex “Medet” in 1964, workshops dedicated to the maintenance and repairs of mining equipment and supply of necessary spare parts were created.

When the Mining and Ore Processing Complex “Assarel- Medet” JSC began operations in 1989, new technologies and repair equipment were implemented.

After the successful privatization of Assarel-Medet JSC in 1999, the non-core activities were spun off into separate companies. In the beginning of 2006, after a public bid, the majority of the company’s capital was sold to the present majority owner - Eng. Ivan Popov.

The investment commitments he made when aquiring the company are now in the process of being implemented. In 2006 significant investments were made in the modernization of the main workshops, the administrative building, and the main technological equipment.

At present Assarel-Remont Ltd. employs 120 highly qualified and well trained specialists and workers. The good synchronization in the company’s operations is reflected in the excellent organization of all company activities.
